Yamaha SV-200 Silent Electric Violin, Red

Expressive Electric Violin Performance with Natural Acoustic Feel

The Yamaha SV-200 Silent Electric Violin in Cardinal Red combines the familiar feel of an acoustic violin with the versatility of electronic sound. Designed for expressive performance, quiet practice, and studio recording, this full-size electric violin offers responsive playability, detailed tonal control, and convenient amplification. Its lightweight frame and carefully shaped neck provide a comfortable playing experience, while the extended body design accommodates most standard violin chinrests and shoulder rests.

Two piezo pickups positioned beneath opposite sides of the bridge capture a broad dynamic range, allowing subtle changes in bow pressure and articulation to come through clearly. A specialized EQ circuit adjusts upper harmonics to produce a warmer or brighter tone, while an EQ mode switch allows players to bypass the onboard equalization when using external audio equipment. The solid-body construction helps minimize feedback during amplified performances, making the SV-200 well suited to concert stages and recording environments. With dedicated headphone and line outputs, quality ebony fittings, and a striking Cardinal Red finish, this Yamaha Silent Violin offers flexible performance options without sacrificing the familiar playing characteristics of a traditional violin.
