Sattler Strad Pad Rosewood Chinrest Pad, Large

Soft foam cushioning for larger violin and viola chinrests

The Sattler Strad Pad Rosewood Chinrest Pad provides a comfortable cushioned surface for violin and viola players who want to reduce pressure at the chinrest. Made from soft foam, the pad rests directly on the chinrest rather than against the instrument, offering a neat alternative to handkerchiefs and other makeshift padding. Keeping the padding away from the instrument body also helps avoid the tonal damping that can occur when a cloth rests against the violin or viola.

This large-size Strad Pad is recommended for full-size violas and full-size violins fitted with larger chinrests, including Guarneri- and Flesch-style designs. A Velcro attachment holds the pad securely in place while allowing easy removal when needed. The washable pad is compact enough to remain attached when the instrument is placed in its case. Finished in a rosewood color, it provides practical cushioning and an understated appearance for lessons, practice, rehearsals, and performances.
