The Zither Z Stand is a step above any metal floor stand — it's a handcrafted piece of functional furniture designed to display a violin or viola with the same care that went into the instrument itself. Individually made from solid maple with no particle board or laminate, each stand has its own natural variation in grain and color. A hand-rubbed oil finish is applied so that it hardens within the wood rather than sitting on the surface, providing lasting protection that deepens beautifully over time.

The instrument rests in a USA-made String Swing cradle — the same finish-safe, padded cradle used in String Swing's own wall-mounted violin hangers — making it safe for nitrocellulose-finished instruments. A bow holder is included. With 31 inches of clearance from cradle to base, the stand is best suited for full-size violins and violas. Simple assembly requires only a Phillips-head screwdriver.
