The Korg CA-50 Chromatic Tuner combines straightforward operation with accurate pitch detection in a compact, portable design. Its wide A0–C8 detection range makes it suitable for orchestral instruments as well as many other acoustic and electric instruments. A large LCD display with prominent note-name indication helps make tuning information easy to read, while meter mode provides visual feedback with detection accuracy within ±1 cent.

For flexible tuning, the CA-50 offers an adjustable A4 calibration range from 410–480 Hz in 1 Hz increments. Sound Out mode produces reference tones from C4 through C5 using the built-in speaker, providing an additional option for tuning by ear. Instruments with an electronic output can connect through the 1/4" input, and a compatible Korg contact microphone can be connected for tuning in environments where a built-in microphone may be less practical. Powered by two AAA batteries, the CA-50 delivers approximately 135 hours of operation in meter mode for dependable everyday use.
