Three Trios, Op.38 (G.110-112) for violin, viola, and cello (parts) by Luigi Boccherini
Edited by Altmann. Published by International
Luigi Boccherini (1743-1805) was an Italian cellist and composer. He spent much of his career in employ of Spanish patrons; as such, his music retains the galante style popular in courtly settings and sometimes contains suggestions of his Spanish locale. He is known for his many chamber works, which brought the cello to greater prominence within the ensemble. Boccherini wrote over 50 string trios, including the three delightful trios for violin, viola, and cello contained here, G.110-112. Contains parts only. Intermediate-advanced level, Grade 4.
