The Wittner Studio Tuning Fork & Resonator Box provides a traditional acoustic reference pitch for tuning instruments, ear training, and other studio applications. Its nickel-plated Wittner tuning fork is calibrated to A440, the standard concert pitch commonly used for orchestral and ensemble tuning. Mounted on a natural-finish wooden resonance box, the fork produces an audible reference tone without batteries, electronics, or amplification, making it a practical choice for teaching studios, rehearsal spaces, and practice rooms.
A rubber-tipped wooden striker is included for sounding the tuning fork while it is mounted on the resonance box. The fork can also be easily removed from the box and carried separately in an instrument case, providing a portable A440 reference for rehearsals and performances. Wittner manufactures its tuning forks in Germany and identifies this resonance-case configuration as part of its Model 924 series. Combining straightforward operation with a traditional studio presentation, this set offers a dependable alternative to electronic tuners.
