Concerto in D Minor, WoO 23 for violin and piano by Robert Schumann
One of his last significant compositions, it was hidden away for many years by Joseph Joachim, who believed that it did not represent Schumann's genius. Years later, after work by Jelly d'Aranyi, Yehudi Menuhin, Georg Kulenkampff, and Paul Hindemith, the concerto has begun to make inroads back into the concert repertory.
