Sonatas, Vol.2 (Early Viennese) for violin and piano by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Urtext edition by Eduard Reeser. Published by Barenreiter

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) was one of the most prominent composers of the Classical period and is often considered one of the greatest composers of Western art music. A noted child prodigy, he excelled in all genres. His music is revered for its beauty, clarity, balance, and transparency, underpinned by sophisticated craftsmanship.

Mozart left a veritable wealth of music for violinists across his 36 sonatas for violin and piano. These range from early juvenilia-simple yet prodigious-to mature masterpieces. This Barenreiter urtext edition-volume two of three-contains mature sonatas composed in his ''Early Viennese'' period, as well as sonata fragments. Includes critical and historical commentary. Intermediate-advanced level, Grade 4.
