Marco Anzoletti (1866-1929) studied and later taught at the Milan Conservatory. In the spirit of the great Alessandro Rolla, he taught a studio of violinists and violists while in his spare time maintaining an active life as a prolific composer. He wrote a vast amount of chamber music and 30 concertos, mostly for strings. This charming Scherzo and Trio is welcome addition to the viola repertory.
