Six Duos for two violins; Maddalena Lombardini Sirmen (Hildegard); edited by Cora Cooper and Karen Clarke

Maddalena Lombardini Sirmen (1745-1818), born in Venice, Italy, studied violin with Giuseppe Tartini and built a thriving career as a touring performer, traveling to London, Paris, and St. Petersburg. She later became an opera singer. There are twenty-six known compositions by Lombardini Sirmen including violin concertos, quartets, trios, and duos, all of which were widely published in her lifetime.
