Three Duets for two cellos, WoO 27 by Ludwig van Beethoven
Arranged by Blaise Dejardin. Published by Opus Cello
Opus Cello specializes in high-quality cello arrangements, often for 2 or more cellos, from the classical repertory and beyond. Its music has been performed by the likes of Yo-Yo Ma, Gautier Capucon, Kian Soltani, Sol Gabetta, Frans Helmerson, and more, as well as the Boston Cello Quartet and cello sections of major orchestras from around the world. First spearheaded by Blaise Dejardin, principal cellist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, it has grown to feature arrangements by Aurelien Sabouret, Sebastien Walnier, Renaud Guieu, and James Barralet. These publications help to greatly expand the repertoire for avid cello ensembles and chamber groups.
Beethoven's Three Duets, WoO 27 were very early works, predating his studies with Haydn. Originally written for clarinet and bassoon, they are arranged here for two cellos by Blaise Dejardin. Includes two performance parts and score. Advanced level, grade 5.
