Renowned maker William Whedbee has been crafting fine string instruments since the 1970s, when he studied at the Stradivari School of Violinmaking with the great masters Scarpini, Bulfari, Conia, and Morassi.
This viola plays with a tone that is warm and rich. The bass end is powerful and open, and the treble is sweet and resonant. The light brown varnish is elegantly shaded and antiqued to fully display the stunningly beautiful figured wood.
