String Quartets, Vol. 2: 17 Easy (parts) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Edited by Andreas Moser and Hugo Becker. Published by C.F. Peters
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) was one of the most prominent composers of the Classical period and is often considered one of the greatest composers of Western art music. A noted child prodigy, he excelled in all genres. His music is revered for its beauty, clarity, balance, and transparency, underpinned by sophisticated craftsmanship.
Mozart excelled in all chamber forms, including the string quartet. He wrote many quartets as a young teenager, including the sinfonia-styled ''Milanese'' quartets and the Haydn-influenced ''Viennese'' quartets. This Kalmus budget edition-volume two of two-contains these twelve quartets, as well as other minor works-his oboe quartet, two of his flute quartets, the Adagio and Fugue for String Quartet, and a quartet arrangement of his famous serenade ''Eine Kleine Nachtmusik''. Advanced level, Grade 5.
