3/4 violin made, in our opinion, in the workshop of Antonio Gragnani in Livorno in late 18th century
This exceptional 3/4 size violin is estimated to be from the workshop of Antonio Gragnani, an Italian luthier who worked in Livorno, Italy in the late 18th century. It is our opinion that the Amati-like model and delicate workmanship of this violin suggest the work of Gragnani or the hand of another highly skilled maker who shared similar techniques. The violin is in beautiful condition, and would be ideal for a young soloist or a collector of fine instruments.
