Natale Carletti (1904-1979) was a prolific Italian maker who worked in Pieve di Cento in the province of Bologna, Italy. He was one of the four violin-making sons of Carlo Carletti (1873-1941), a highly respected maker of the early 20th century Bolognese school. Natale took over his father's workshop 1941, where he produced a variety of outstanding stringed instruments, including viola da gambas. The Carletti dynasty of violin makers continues today in Pieve di Cento with Natale's son Gabriele Carletti (b. 1948).
