The celebrated Italian luthier Igino (Iginius) Sderci was born in 1884 in Gaiole, Chianti, and died in 1983 in Florence, Italy. In 1917, he traveled to Milan to study with master maker Leandro Bisiach, before moving to Florence to establish his own workshop. He was extremely prolific, building over 700 instruments, and won gold medals for his violins and violas entered into the Cremona Stradivari Exhibition in 1937. Sderci's instruments are built with the highest quality materials and are extremely desirable among professional musicians.
