Born in Markneukirchen, Germany in 1890, Fritz Gutter, Sr. trained under H. R. Pfretzschner, then worked for Albert Nurnberger. He opened his own workshop in in Markneukirchen in 1919.
This cello bow is a fine example of Fritz Gutter's work. Perfect for the accomplished player, it has an easy response and draws a dark, warm sound.
