Lloyd Liu viola bow
Hailed from Hunan, China, Master Lloyd Liu studied the art of violin and bow making in Argentina and the United States in 1946. By 1970, he had established himself as a master maker of violins and bows internationally. He emerged from the Wurlitzer Violin Shop as one of the best disciples of Master Simone Fernando Sacconi. The bows made by Master Liu rivaled the famous antiques that frequented auctions such as Sotheby's. His bows have been collected by investors and musicians including Jascha Heifetz, Yo-Yo Ma, and Cho-Liang Lin.
