Johnson String Instrument is Moving!
Dear friends and valued customers:
As we wrote to you this past November, Johnson String Instrument and Carriage House Violins have merged to create one of the largest and most comprehensive retail violin establishments in the country.
Today we are excited to announce the physical realization of this merger: Johnson String Instrument will be moving up Route 9 to the Carriage House Violins location in a refurbished space directly upstairs. Once completed, Johnson String Instrument and Carriage House Violins will have over 11,000 square feet of sales, rentals, and repairs in one convenient location with extended hours and plenty of parking.
Carriage House Violins will continue as the sales arm of Johnson String Instrument where customers can find the finest antique and modern violins, violas, cellos, and bows and be assisted by the same consultants you have come to know and trust. The expanded space will allow us to display an even greater selection of instruments for customers to find one that best suits them at any particular point in their musical journey.
The workshop will remain staffed by skilled crafts people from both Johnson String Instrument and Carriage House Violins for instrument restorations, repairs, adjustments, and bow repair services under the supervision of Carriage House foreman John Dailey. Carriage House will continue to program events in the recital hall, and rest assured, the customer experience will remain elegant and inviting with the addition of our beautiful new showroom. Except now, if you have a need for sheet music, a special case, an electric violin and so much more, you can browse through our entire line of products in the same location.
Johnson String Instrument will carry on doing what it has done so well for over 35 years: offer the finest quality instrument rentals (including basses), guitars, electric instruments, sheet music, and thousands of accessories laid out in a spacious new customer-friendly environment. Among the new amenities will be four individual trial rooms where rental customers from beginners to professionals can sample an array of instruments without interruption.
The new Johnson String Instrument and Carriage House Violins will be a boon for teachers in particular who will be able to conduct student trials, try an instrument for themselves, purchase sheet music, check out concert postings, and find inspiration all in one place, saving time and stress on already busy schedules.
While the expanded store will open for business May 6, we cordially invite you to an open house Sunday, June 1, from 2 to 5 p.m. so you can experience the entire facility, meet the staff, connect with your friends and colleagues, enjoy live music and hors d'oeuvres, and join us in celebrating this next chapter of Johnson String Instrument and Carriage House Violins.
