Fall 2012 Johnson String Instrument will deliver rental instruments to students enrolled in the Simsbury Public School string program on Thursday, November 29th at Simsbury High School. Registration: To reserve an instrument for delivery, you must register by 6pm on Wednesday, November 28th. Instruments will be delivered to the Jazz Ensemble room during the school day on the 29th and may be picked up at dismissal. Exchanges and returns: If you need to return an instrument to us for any reason, please be sure to label it clearly with your name, phone number, and return or exchange instructions. Leave it in the high school Jazz Ensemble room before the start of the school day on the 29th. If you have ordered an exchange, your new instrument will be left in its place and may be picked up after dismissal. Please understand that we cannot process returns we cannot identify. Please note: We require a credit card number as a security deposit on the rental contract. Rates include insurance. Renewals can be by phone, through the mail, or by creating an online account. Yearly rates are less expensive and if you return early, you will be refunded the cost of unused time. Rental equity program: A portion of rental fees paid may be used toward the purchase of an instrument. Accessories: Students in the fourth grade will need to purchase the Essential Elements book 1. Students in grade 5 and above will also need Suzuki book 1. Violinists and violists should purchase a foam shoulder rest, and cellists and bassists will need an endpin rest (Xeros for cello and Sure Stop for bass). A CA-30 electronic tuner is optional, but recommended by your teacher. This service trip is for the Simsbury Public Schools.
