Fall 2012 Johnson String Instrument will deliver rental violins, violas, cellos, and basses for Avon public school students on Tuesday, September 11th, 3:00 - 4:30 PM in the Thompson Brook School cafeteria at 150 Thompson Road in Avon. We recommend that you register in advance as it is the only way to ensure that an instrument of the correct size will be held for you until the end of the delivery. You may do so online or by calling our office at 800-359-9351. Please note that advance registration is REQUIRED for bass delivery. Please place all orders for new and exchange instruments by 5 PM on Monday, September 10th. If you are ordering a violin, viola, or cello and are unable to register in advance, you can complete a rental contract while your child is sized for an instrument. Please note that although rental fees may be paid with check, cash, or credit card, we do require all JSI renters to provide a credit card number on the rental contract in lieu of a security deposit. Rental rates include insurance. Renewals may be done by mail, telephone or by creating an online rental account. There is a three-month minimum for all new rentals. Beyond that, longer periods are less expensive, and if you return early you will be charged only for the time used. Rental equity program: A portion of the rental paid may be used toward the purchase of an instrument. Accessories: Your teacher has requested that all new players purchase some additional items. These include an electronic tuner, a music stand, a shoulder rest for violinists and violists, and a rock stop for cellists. These and other items may also be reserved in advance to guarantee availability. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on the 11th!
