Johnson String Instrument will deliver rental stringed instruments to the Wayland Middle School cafeteria, 201 Main St
Wayland, MA 01778 on Thursday, September 10th, 6:00- 8:00 PM.
Your string teacher provides instrument sizing for many students during the first week of school. JSI will have this sizing information on September 10th. If the teacher does not size your child before September 10th, JSI will provide sizing. We recommended that your child attend the rental night if you are unsure of the size, but you do not necessarily need to bring your child to the school if the instrument size is known in advance.
Advance registration is required for bass delivery.
Please note: We require a credit card number as a security deposit on the rental contract, but you are welcome to pay the rental fee with cash, check or credit card. Rates include insurance and sales tax. Renewals can be done by mail, telephone or by setting up an ONLINE RENTAL ACCOUNT. Rental equity program: A portion of rental fees paid may be used toward the purchase of an instrument.
Books and accessories: Third and fourth graders will need an Essential Elements 2000 book, and fifth graders will need Essential Elements 2000 book 2. Violinists and violists need a Kun shoulder rest, and cellists need a Xeros endpin anchor. Bass players need a rock stop and Nyman’s bass rosin. . Your teacher also strongly recommends purchasing a Hamilton music stand.
