Dear Wayland Parent,
Johnson String Instrument will deliver rental violins, violas cellos and basses to the Wayland High School Commons on Tuesday, September 18th, 6:00- 8:00 PM.
We recommend that you Pre-Register Online. You can Pre-Register Online after September 1, or call us at 800-359-9351 anytime after August 24th. Pre-registration ensures that an instrument of appropriate size will be reserved for your child until 8:00 PM and allows you reserve accessories in advance. If you are unable to Pre-Register Online, you may read over and fill out a contract at the delivery while your child is sized for their instrument.
The WPS string teacher provides instrument sizing for many students during the first week of school. JSI will have this teacher sizing information on September 18th, so you can Pre-Register Online or by telephone without knowing which instrument size you need. If your student is not sized before September 18th, JSI will provide sizing at the delivery. It is recommended that your child attend the rental night if you are unsure of the size, but you do not necessarily need to bring your child to the school if the instrument size is known in advance.

| *Based on a school year rate of 9 months for small basses and 10 months for violins and small violas. Three-month rental periods and rental upgrades are also available for all instruments. Basses are available in limited quantities, please call ahead to register for bass delivery. Small violas for children up to about 13 years, and small basses for children up to about 10. |

Please note: We require a credit card number as a security deposit on the rental contract, but you are welcome to pay the rental fee with cash, check or credit card. Rates include insurance and sales tax. Renewals can be done through the mail. Rental equity program: A portion of rental fees paid may be used toward the purchase of an instrument.
Books and accessories: Your teacher has requested that all new players purchase additional items, which will be available for purchase on September 18th. All new players will need a String Explorer book, music stand and flashcards. All 5th graders will need Essentials for Strings book. Violinists and violists need a Kun shoulder rest, and Cellists need an endpin anchor. Bass players need a rock stop and Nyman’s bass rosin. These and other items will be available at the delivery. Please call if you would like additional items delivered.
Existing and returning renters: If you need to return or exchange an instrument, call 800-359-9351 to reserve delivery to the High School or to arrange instrument shipping. We will have extra instruments available on September 18th, but calling ahead to reserve an instrument exchange is recommended.
