Dear Windsor Public School Parent,
Johnson String Instrument is located in Newton, Massachusetts, just west of Boston. We rent and sell violins, violas, cellos and basses. We visit Windsor, Connecticut in September and June, and also offer service trips during the second semester of the school year. This year, we will deliver rental stringed instruments on:
Friday, September 21st, 6:00 – 8:00pm
at Ellsworth Elementary School
If you would like to reserve an instrument, please Pre-Register Online or call 800-359-9351 before September 20th. Completing a contract in advance ensures that an instrument will be held for you until 8:00 PM on September 21st. If you are unable to Pre-Register Online in advance, you may fill out your rental contract at the delivery.

-Small violas for children up to about 13 years, and small basses for children up to about 10.

-Basses are available in limited quantities, please call to register in advance for bass delivery.
-School rate for small basses: a nine-month rental requires only a six -month rental payment.
Please note: We do require a credit card number as a security deposit on the rental contract. However, you are welcome to pay the rental fee by cash, check or credit card. Rates include insurance. Renewals can be done through the mail. Yearly rates are less expensive and if you return early, you will be charged only for the time used. Rental equity program: A portion of rental fees paid may be used toward the purchase of an instrument.
ALL NEW STUDENTS: The teachers have asked that you purchase Suzuki Book 1 and the accompaniment CD for $20.60. In addition, third grade students are expected to purchase the Essential Elements 2000 book, which is an additional $7.95. Other optional accessories will also be available for purchase.
VIOLIN AND VIOLA STUDENTS: Your teacher recommends that you also purchase a foam shoulder rest. The cost is $3.10 and may be added to your rental payment. If you have any questions about our rental program, please to call us at 800-359-9351. We look forward to hearing from you.
