Dear Packer Parent,
Johnson String Instrument is located in Newton, Massachusetts, just west of Boston. We rent, repair and sell violins, violas and cellos, both in the Boston area and throughout the United States. This year Johnson String Instrument will be dropping off pre-paid rental cellos & violins for grades 4 and above to Packer on:
Monday, September 21st
Deadline for pre-registration Friday, September 18@noon
Parents: you may order your rental instrument online at johnsonstring.com or call our customer service center at 1-800-359-9351 to make arrangements for us to bring an instrument for your child. We will fill out a contract with you over the phone. We will need to know the size of the instrument that your child will need. If you do not know what size instrument your child needs please contact your child’s string instructor to obtain that information.

All Rates include rent and insurance
*Small Violas are 1/16 through 14” violas
**Large Violas are 15” through 16.5” violas
***Small Basses are 1/10 through ¼ bassses
****Large Basses are ½ & ¾ basses
Please note: We do require a credit card number as a security deposit on the rental contract. However, you are welcome to pay the rental fee by check or credit card. Rates include insurance. Renewals can be done through the mail or by phone. All instruments must be pre-paid prior to delivery.
Exchanges for size & repair can be arranged by contacting your child’s instructor or by calling us directly. We will make several trips to the New York City area throughout the school year for exchanges and new rentals and will return at the end of the school year in June for an end of the year pickup.
