Dear Hartt Parent,
Johnson String Instrument is located in Newton, Massachusetts, just west of Boston. We rent and sell violins, violas and cellos. We come to Hartt every September and make several additional deliveries during the year. At these deliveries we arrange new rentals and size exchanges, and accept returns. We are also able to service our Connecticut customers via shipping at any time.
PARENTS INTERESTED IN RENTING FROM JOHNSON’S
We will be delivering rental violins, violas and cellos at the Hartt School of Music on:
Friday, September 14th, 6:00 – 7:30pm in Room 21 (across from the Community Division Office)
If you would like us to bring down an instrument for you, we ask that you please Pre-Register Online after September 1st or call 800-359-9351 so we can reserve one for you.

Please note: We do require a credit card number as a security deposit on the rental contract. However, you are welcome to pay the rental fee by cash, check or credit card. Rates include insurance. Renewals can be done through the mail. Yearly rates are less expensive and if you return early, you will be charged only for the time used. Rental equity program: A portion of rental fees paid may be used toward the purchase of an instrument. * Children up to about 13 years old.
