Dear Concord Parent,
Johnson String Instrument is located in Newton, Massachusetts, just west of Boston. We will attend the Concord Public School’s stringed instrument delivery night to provide students with rental violins, violas, cellos and basses. At our deliveries we arrange new rentals, exchange instruments and accept returns. We will visit the area periodically during the school year to service or exchange the instruments.
PARENTS INTERESTED IN RENTING FROM JOHNSON’S
We will be delivering rental stringed instruments in Concord on Monday, September 10th, 6:30 – 9:00pm at Rundlett Middle School.
We recommend that you Pre-Register Online. You can Pre-Register Online after September 1, or call us at 800-359-9351 anytime after August 24th. Pre-registration ensures that an instrument of appropriate size will be reserved for your child until 9:00 and allows you reserve accessories in advance. If you are unable to Pre-Register Online, you may read over and fill out a contract at the delivery while your child is sized for their instrument.

-Small violas for children up to about 13 years, and small basses for children up to about 10.

-Basses are available in limited quantities, please call to register in advance for bass delivery.
-School rate for small basses: a nine-month rental requires only a six -month rental payment.
Please note: We do require a credit card number as a security deposit on the rental contract. However, you are welcome to pay the rental fee by cash, check or credit card. Rates include insurance. Renewals can be done through the mail. Yearly rates are less expensive and if you return early, you will be charged only for the time used. Rental equity program: A portion of rental fees paid may be used toward the purchase of an instrument.
ACCESSORIES: New students will need to purchase the Essential Elements 2000 book 1 for $7.95, and sixth graders will need to purchase book 2 ($6.95). Violinists and violists will need a foam shoulder rest ($3.25) or a Kun shoulder rest ($22.00 or $23.45, depending on size). Folding music stands, rockstops for cellists, pitchpipes and other accessories will also be available at the delivery. We recommend that you contact us in advance if you wish to order items other than those listed above.
