Dear Bedford Parent,
Bedford Public Schools will not be having an instrument rental night this year, so Johnson String Instrument will not be able to meet you in person at a Bedford Location this year. However, if you would like to pre-register for an instrument by phone at 800-335-9351 or online at www.johnsonstring.com we will be able to drop the instrument off with the teacher at the Job Lane Elementary School on Friday, September 21st. We will not be able to meet you in person; the teacher will distribute the instruments to players after the drop-off. We will not be able to size the player to their instrument in person, but if you can't get a suggested size from your teacher, we can make an educated guess based on the player's age and size.
You may, of course, come into our store at 11 John Street, Newton, MA, 02458 (M 10-5, T,Th,Fr 10-6, W 10-8, Sa. 9-5, Closed Sunday) as well to get fitted for an instrument in person.
If you would like to pre-register for an instrument to be dropped off, please do so by 12:00 pm on the day before, Thursday September 20th.

Please note: We require a credit card number as a security deposit on the rental contract. Rates include tax and insurance. Renewals can be done through the mail or over the phone. Yearly rates are less expensive and if you return early, you will be charged only for the initial 3-month rental period plus any additional time used. Rental equity program: A portion of rental fees paid may be used toward the purchase of an instrument.
You may also want to request the Essential Elements 2000 series of books that your teacher will require for class($7.95, $8.35 with tax), foam shoulder rests for violin and viola players ($3.25, $3.41 with tax), as well as some music stands ($14.95, $15.70 with tax) and cello endpin rests that you might find helpful. We can drop these items off with your instrument at the school.
