The Chamber Music Network

Connecting chamber players for over 60 years!

For over 60 years, the ACMP: THE CHAMBER MUSIC NETWORK has brought musicians and singers of all ages, nationalities, and playing levels together to play music in their hometowns or, more often than not, on the road. According to the ACMP, the one thing that all their members share in common is their love of making music with others.

With over 5,400 members in more than 50 countries, the Chamber Music Network is unique in its scope and purpose. The idea for a national network of chamber musicians was originally conceived of in 1947 by a traveling businessman looking for fellow musicians to play music with while on the road. The loose network that he started was soon after championed by the Helen Rice who, until her death in 1980, was dedicated to increasing membership throughout the world.

With the advent of the internet, membership and interest in this unique non-profit organization has been growing by leaps and bounds. All players are welcome, from beginners to professionals. To help defray the expenses and the many worthy works of this nonprofit organization, an annual contribution of $25 is suggested, but any amount is welcome and appreciated. As a member, you will be able to access to ACMP directory of fellow musicians in your area and around the world, find links to other musical organizations, sign up for member workshops, and enjoy member discounts from a wide range of businesses and organizations, including Johnson String Instrument.
