This Month's Featured Violin Bow:

Eugene Cuniot-Hury learned bow making under his father, Pierre, and took over his workshop in 1884 at the time of Pierre's death. Cuniot added the name Hury to his own when he married in 1894. He worked in the typical style of Mirecourt, and the influence of Bazin is also visible in his models. Cuniot-Hury maintained a large workshop and produced many fine bows. His widow continued to run the shop after his death in 1910 with the assistance of his foreman, Emil Ourchard.
