Instrument and Bow Trials

Johnson String Instrument offers a convenient one-week trial period for all of our instruments and bows. This allows our customers to try an instrument or bow in a variety of settings and get critical feedback from friends, teachers, and colleagues. For your convenience, we also offer online trial approval through our Web site. Please note that any merchandise on trial not returned within 14 days, in its original condition, will be charged to your credit card. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the client. Shipping charges are as follows:

Violins: $17.00
Bows: $10.00 for up to 3 bows
Cellos $55.00
(Rates may change based on you location, please see our shipping table for exact shipping amounts)

• Any instrument or bow, with the exception of electric instruments and "student bows", purchased at Johnson's, whether online or in our shop, comes with the same guarantees and trade-up policies. (Click here for details.)
• Any returns made within thirty days of purchase will be honored with a full refund.
• Returns must be in original condition.
