John Moroz

John Moroz received his training at the violin Making School of America in Salt Lake City. Upon graduating, Mr. Moroz worked at Eric Chapman violins in New York under Amos Hargrave. John Moroz and his assistants make the Model II violin in Mr. Moroz's workshop in Salt Lake City, using a one-piece, slab-cut maple back. The violin features a beautifully shaded red-orange varnish and has a warm, open and responsive tone.

John Moroz and Brian Skarstad

John Moroz, a violin maker from Salt Lake City, and Brian Skarstad, a maker from New York, import a partially completed instrument in the white from China made to set specifications. The makers combine distinctive workmanship and quality materials to produce a truly fine instrument for the dedicated student or serious amateur.
